RAÚL SABIOTE
About me.
I’m Raúl Sabiote, a Spanish euphonium soloist and conductor. Originally from Almería, in southern Spain, I now live in Lucerne, Switzerland. My path brings together performing, conducting and teaching: three ways of sharing music.

01 · EUPHONIUM
Performance.
I was born in Almería in 1998. I studied at the Conservatorio Superior de las Islas Baleares and the Hochschule Luzern, where I completed my Master’s in Music Performance with outstanding results. Solo repertoire and chamber music are at the heart of my work as a performer.
I have collaborated with the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Philharmonia Zürich — the orchestra of Zurich Opera — and the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra.
As a soloist, I have performed with the RTVE Symphony Orchestra, SimfoVents · Banda Municipal de Palma and the Banda Municipal de Alicante. These collaborations have taken me to venues including Madrid’s Teatro Monumental, the Palau de la Música Catalana and KKL Luzern.

Conducting.
I develop musical projects with ensembles in Switzerland and across Europe. Conducting lets me explore sound from another perspective: supporting musicians, listening to their ideas and building a shared interpretation.
In June 2026, I completed my Master’s in Wind Band Conducting at the Hochschule Luzern, studying with Michael Bach and Hervé Grélat.
I have also received training and musical guidance from Clemens Heil, Andrea Loss, Piotr Sułkowski, Juan José Navarro, Andrea Brown, José Miguel Rodilla, Nanine Linning and José Rafael Pascual Vilaplana.
I have been principal conductor of Harmoniemusik Stans since 2024. During the 2025/26 season, I was project conductor of Brass Band Kirchenmusik Flühli, with whom we won first prize in the 1st category of the 2026 Dutch Open Brass Band Championships in the Netherlands.

03 · SHARING
Teaching.
I teach courses and masterclasses at conservatoires and festivals in Spain and internationally. I am the founder and artistic director of D’Gata Brass Week, a brass festival in Almería that brings together internationally renowned teachers and supports the development of young talent.
