REMINISCENCIAS

In this, my latest musical project in collaboration with Calle440 and the exceptional talents of Pablo Polo and Pepe Hannan, we have crafted an incredibly refined product. The warm and velvety sound of the euphonium blends seamlessly with the harmonies of the piano and the rhythm of percussion, following a chronological journey from the Romanticism of Schumann and Brahms to the vibrant world of popular flamenco.

Music has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember—a legacy passed down by my grandfather from a very young age. He taught me that music is not only an art but also a way to connect with our roots and our deepest essence. I cannot imagine my journey without acknowledging his influence and that of many other mentors. For this reason, I am deeply excited and proud to present my first album, Reminiscences.

This album goes beyond being just a musical work; the pieces compiled here have deeply shaped my personal and professional life. Reminiscences pays homage to the roots of German Romanticism, explores its influence on Spanish nationalist music of the 19th and 20th centuries, and evokes traditional melodies that have resonated across generations. By adapting these pieces to the unique sound of the euphonium—a still relatively unknown instrument—we have given them a distinctive and singular voice, respecting their original essence while infusing a fresh perspective into our interpretation.
